Launched in 1994, MS Nordlys is one of the six �contemporary� Hurtigruten ships, together with Kong Harald, Nordkapp, Nordnorge, Polarlys, and Richard With. Together with her fleet mates, Nordkapp serves Hurtigruten�s Norwegian Coastal Voyages (NCV) program for cruise ferry travel by passenger-cargo ships. The art, d�cor and colors applied aboard this ship are all inspired by the northern lights. The delicate aesthetic creates a distinct and unique onboard ambience. MS Nordlys is a comfortable ship. Passengers are invited to kick back after a long day experiencing one of Hurtigruten�s many excursions and activities in comfy recliners in the ship�s lounges.

The re-designed MS Otto Sverdrup is an ice class 1C ship. It's equipped with advanced maritime technology that makes her exceptionally well suited for expedition cruises in Norway. MS Otto Sverdrup will have low-emission engines substantially reducing emissions. The renewed expedition ships leverage the most innovative, appropriate technology available, ensuring the expedition cruises they offer are sustainable. Additionally, the three ships will be modified for shore power, meaning they will have zero emissions when in docked ports with applicable.

MS Spitsbergen is named after the crown jewel of Arctic Norway � the Svalbard archipelago and its biggest island, Spitsbergen. Hurtigruten has a long history of travelling to Spitsbergen, beginning in 1896 with the `Sports Route�. MS Spitsbergen cruises along the Norwegian coast from September to May, and becomes part of our global Explorer sailings during the rest of the year. After complete reconstruction, MS Spitsbergen joined the Hurtigruten fleet in 2016. The ship features high technical standards as well as comfortable, modern public areas and cabins. The vessel's fresh Scandinavian design reflects a color palette derived from the sea. She is modern and environmentally progressive, and we plan further improvements that will reduce emissions and fuel consumption even more. The new ship�s maneuverability and optimal size make her quite suitable for exploring polar waters.

MS Finnmarken is beautifully appointed and decorated in the Art Deco style that was fashionable when the first ship with this name was built. Rich colors, bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation characteristic of the Art Deco style are found throughout the vessel. MS Finnmarken is also the only Hurtigruten ship with both a swimming pool and hot tub on deck. A defining feature of the vessel is her bow, and from deck 5 you can venture to the very tip of the ship. Guests can relax in the outdoor pool, two hot tubs, or a panoramic sauna, or enjoy views from the breathtaking forward observation deck.

NORDKAPP

MS Nordkapp was refurbished in 2016 and now features a modern, Arctic-inspired interior. On board are three different restaurants, a Multe bakery and ice cream bar, a sauna and a fitness room. Out on deck you can enjoy the view from one of our two hot tubs. There's also a cozy bar at the front of the ship where you can enjoy a nice traditional drink, as well as a large compass area with reception, tour guide, conference room and shop. MS Nordkapp was christened by Norway's Queen Sonja in March 1996 and her maiden voyage was to the Shetland Islands. The ship started sailing the Norwegian coast in April 1996. She has also sailed in Antarctica. Since 2007, the vessel has been part of Hurtigruten's fleet of ships dedicated to sailing the Norwegian coastline.

Fram means ïforwardÍ _ lifting expectations of the voyage at hand. MS Fram was built in 2007 with one mission in mind _ to bring her guests closer to nature, wildlife and unforgettable experiences. The spacious outside decks include access to the very front of the ship _ a great place to observe marine wildlife. The ship is purpose built as an expedition vessel with a higher ice-class, chart drawing tools, ship depth sounding database, extractable forward sounding sonar, iceberg search lights, autonomous tracking system, oversized oil retention system for self-sufficiency, and a full ïexpedition tools-deckÍ equivalent to a car-deck that holds 25 vehicles.
